The real estate sector in Hyderabad is poised for an upswing, as suggested by the trends in the first six months of the year 2016.

In the half-yearly report released by Knight Frank India on Monday, it was observed that the Hyderabad office market witnessed a supply growth of 140 per cent between January and June 2016, compared to the same duration the previous year. The absorption of the office market stood at the highest when compared to other metro cities at 91 per cent year on year.

The fifth edition of the half-yearly report captured the mood of the real estate sector in the commercial segment in six metro cities and eight cities in the residential segment. In Hyderabad alone, transactions for 2.8 million square feet were made in six months, said the report.
